Jang In Quit Sensation
Squirrels under-fire coach Jang Wae Ryong announced his resignation on Monday. In what can surely be taken as a direct demonstration of the power and influence of GGOA, a matter of mere hours after this website's exhaustive statistical investigation of Jang's record in comparison with 2007 incumbent Robert "Backpass Bob" Verbeek, the Korean has chosen to do the right thing, citing ill-health and poor results as the reasons for his stepping down from the top job. Physical coach Fuka, who came with Jang to Omiya from Incheon United and the K-League, will also leave his post.
However, this is not the end of Jang's involvement with Ardija. He will reportedly stay on to provide advice on the purchase of foreign players - a piece of news which, given the bizarre nature of several deals relating to non-Japanese members of Jang's squad, most notably Dudu and Seo Yong Duk, cannot be regarded positively. Even so, attention will now turn to finding a replacement for a coach who was given cash to spend, brought to Omiya a huge number of players and by all accounts fell out with many of those who were already at the club - and quite simply failed to deliver results.

Thank fuck for that. However, I thought the season was going as he planned it, i.e. lose against the teams he thought were stronger and draw/win against the rubbish. Wasn't that his plan?
