Lee #2 On His Way

Just a day after the arrival at Omiya of Lee Ho, the Nikkan Sports website is reporting here that the Squirrels are set to announce the signing of Lee Chun Soo. The 29-year-old South Korean winger has been training with the club since the camp at Tsumagoi during the World Cup break, having come to the end of his contract in Saudi Arabia with the Al Nassr club. Ho has signed a short-term contract to take him through to the end of this season, with Chun Soo set to do the same thing.

The Nikkan Sports indicate that attempts to register him as an Ardija player have been affected by delays in obtaining paperwork from the Saudi federation, Omiya eventually asking FIFA to intervene. But Nikkan Sports now suggest that if the administrative tasks are completed in time, Chun Soo is likely to make his Squirrels debut in Sunday's J1 game against Jubilo Iwata.
