Daigo Kobayashi Update

Stabaek supporter @ringo kindly provides here some thoughts on how Squirrels star man Daigo Kobayashi is progressing, following his loan move to the Norwegian champions. Daigo's new club begin their league season on 14th March against Lillestrom.

"Daigo has made a really good first impression on us. He has displayed good skills with the ball and has a vigorous and energetic playing style that most likely will win him a lot of fans here in Norway.

"However, the Norwegian game is quite physical, with most teams practicing a rough and tumble kick and run form of football. It’ll be interesting to see how Daigo copes with this type of football. He seems to be fleet of foot and hopefully he’ll be able to sidestep most tackling attempts.

"Currently we’re not sure which position Daigo will play. So far he’s been tried on both flanks and as a second striker working behind our front runner Daniel Nannskog. My opinion is that he thus far seems to be most comfortable in a right midfield position.

"It also seems like he finds Stabæk a nice place to live and that his first period in the club has been a good one. Although Stabæk is a top team in the Norwegian league it is a small club with a family like atmosphere and most players seems to enjoy themselves immensely."
