Takuro Update

Takuro Nishimura has became the last of those players released by Ardija at the end of 2008 to confirm his future. The former Omiya defender was unsuccessful in his attempts to get picked up by any other club in Japan and thus set his sights on continuing his playing career overseas. Happily, Nishimura has now signed a contract with Portland Timbers, after having spent some weeks on trial with USL1 side. Portland's season starts with a match against Vancouver Whitecaps on 25 April.
