Denis Marques, Sayonara
The Yomiuri Shimbun is reporting that Denis Marques is to leave Omiya to join the Flamengo club in his native Brazil. Denis came to Ardija in the middle of 2007 but became one of the club's star performers last season, when despite a lengthy period out injured he finished top scorer with eight goals. There have been question marks over the fitness of the 28-year-old this year as well - but with most of his nine appearances so far in 2009 having been as a substitute, it has long been clear that a player of his type does not fit into the plans of controversial Squirrels coach Jang Wae Ryong.
