Emperor's Cup Schedule Announced

The JFA have released the Emperor's Cup schedule for 2009, meaning that the Squirrels now have a clear idea of their route through the competition. This year the J-League teams enter the tournament at the Second Round stage, Ardija being scheduled to meet the representatives from either Akita or Miyazaki prefectures in a match to be staged in Akita. If Omiya can win that tie, their likely opposition in the next round will be J2 promotion challengers Vegalta Sendai.
