Rafael Signs

Ardija have confirmed the signing of Turkish / Brazilian striker Rafael, following a trial period and a goal in Saturday's training match with Keio University. The 26-year-old has most recently been playing back in Brazil at Tombense - the same club as Omiya's other new striker, Dudu. Rafael, who is 1m 90cm tall and has been given Klemen Lavric's number sixteen shirt, first went to Turkey and Samsunspor in 2006, getting to the fringes of the national squad in his adopted country over two more seasons at Manisaspor.
