In the weekly football press, Soccer Magazine and Soccer Digest have Ardija linked to Arata Sugiyama of Ventforet Kofu and to Takanobu Komiyama of Yokohama F Marinos, who mainly play on the right- and left-hand sides of defence respectively. Soccer Digest has Kyoto Sanga interested in loaned-out Squirrels forward Denis Marques, while Soccer Magazine is linking Yasuhiro Hato to Vissel Kobe - now coached by ex-Ardija boss Toshiya Miura.
