Tanaka Sayonara

A couple of pieces of transfer news to report today involving ex-Ardija players. 24-year-old right-sided defender Terukazu Tanaka has made permanent his 2009 season-long loan from Omiya to J2 outfit Yokohama FC. Tanaka, a former U21 international who joined the Squirrels from school, never quite made the transition from promising young player to first-team regular, making a total of only nineteen appearances for Ardija. Meanwhile, a year after leaving Ardija for Consadole Sapporo, goalkeeper Hiroki Aratani has moved on again, this time to Ventforet Kofu.
