Daigo Update

GGOA is happy to provide another update from Iraklis supporter tomg10 about former Squirrel Daigo Kobayashi. Iraklis recorded a 3-1 win at Ergotelis on Sunday and are now placed ninth out of sixteen in the Greek Super League, having made considerable improvements since Daigo joined the club at the same time as several new signings and a new coach. tomg10 has the detail on the Ergotelis game:

"We won with Daigo on song. He was one of the best players in the pitch added one assist. He played as left winger and he made an impressive match. He has very very good acceleration so he can past the opponent on one-on-one. Also he missed one one-on-one opportunity with the keeper because he wanted to lob the ball above him. Although he was from the MVPs, he subtituted at 69' from Bogdan Mara. It is obvious he can't play whole match but if he train well I think he will be a leading star for the team.

"In an interview he said that he really love Greek food and especially souvlaki and gyros. They are our traditional food and he likes them. Also said that he drinks much coffees that there are only in Greece which name is frappe. He drinks one frappe every day.. Also in few days his woman will come in Greece and they are going to find a house near the sea."

With Iraklis trailing 1-0, Daigo's free kick leads to a 38th-minute own goal:

Many thanks to tomg10 for the information and clip.
