The Ardija official site is reporting that Squirrels captain Chikara Fujimoto, out of action since the game against Kashima Antlers at the end of March, is going to have an operation on his knee on Thursday. Fujimoto's absence from the first team is expected to continue for another couple of months, meaning that he may only just be fit in time for the re-start of the J1 season after the World Cup break.
