Morita Update

With little happening on the football scene generally at the moment, it's exciting to be able to pass on another report from Marcus of the Thai Port FC blog regarding former Squirrels striker Hiroshi Morita, who moved to Bangkok earlier this year following the end of his contract at Ventforet Kofu. Says Marcus: "Morita bagged his first Thai Premier League goal on Sunday afternoon, against Royal Thai Army. It wasn't a classic by any means, but they all count!

"It was actually Mori's first start for the team. He's come on as sub five times, but has never had more than ten minutes or so to do anything. By all accounts he's been doing well in the reserves, scoring a few goals in the process. His performance today was pretty good, but he still looks a bit rusty I think. The manager substituted him after an hour, so we could bring on a Nigerian lad to add extra pace to the attack. It worked well, as Jacob scored the second in a 2-0 win."
