Haruki Goes Non-league

The Ardija official site has announced that ex-Squirrels defender Haruki Nishimura has signed for ambitious non-leaguers FC Ganju Iwate. The 23-year-old, released at the end of the 2009 season, never picked up any playing time at all in three seasons on the Omiya first team squad, although he was loaned out to JFL club Arte Takasaki in 2007. FC Ganju, meanwhile, are targetted at the J-League and currently lie top of Division 1 of the Iwate Prefectural League, with a record this season of played four, won four - and a goal difference of +26. Another former Ardija player, goalkeeper Kenji Tanaka spent a brief period at the same club a number of seasons ago.
