Suzuki Signs

Ardija have announced the signing on a six-month contract of left-sided defender / midfielder Norio Suzuki. The 26-year-old was rumoured to have been training with the Squirrels during the World Cup break, but he is the first player to join the club under new coach Jun Suzuki. Norio spent the 2009/10 European season in France's Ligue 2 with Angers, but previously played in J1 for both FC Tokyo and Vissel Kobe. It is expected that he will provide competition for a first team slot at Omiya for Kazuhiro Murakami. Meanwhile there is no news yet on whether South Korean international winger Lee Chun Soo will sign ahead of the J-League re-start on Wednesday, when Ardija go to Kawasaki Frontale for a tough-looking J1 game.
