Park Leaves, Dudu Surgery

Ardija have confirmed that midfielder Park Won Jae has left the club to return to South Korea and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. One of Jang Wae Ryong's first signings a year ago, the highlight of Park's career at Omiya was undoubtedly the deflected shot / cross that enabled the Squirrels to take the lead in the Saitama Derby against Urawa Reds in May. Switching between a wide midfielder and the left-hand side of the back four, however, the player never really found a consistent role in the team.

Meanwhile, having just had his contract extended, forward Dudu is to have surgery on an ankle this coming week and is expected to be convalescing in his native Brazil before returning to Japan in the middle of February. This means he will miss the pre-season training camp on the island of Guam, although may participate in the recently-announced second camp in Miyazaki prefecture, starting 15th February. TENTH IN '10!!
