Jubilo Preview

OK, so. We're not doing very well at the moment. By all accounts Ardija were a bit unlucky to lose against FC Tokyo reserves, although Ricardinho deserves credit for turning Yuki Fukaya inside out for the Tokyo goal and later for hitting the post when he perhaps should have made it 2-0. Mato Neretljak by coincidence struck the exact same piece of woodwork from the penalty spot and Omiya's best chance of getting something from the game disappeared. But that's in the past. And the humiliation of the 3-1 defeat by Gamba Osaka, that's in the past too.

Yes, here at GGOA we're going all positive. We're pulling ourselves together and getting behind those Mighty, Mighty Squirrels. Saturday sees Saitama's finest head to Shizuoka and Jubilo Iwata, one point and two places up the table and therefore a team that Omiya need to avoid being beaten by... what am I saying? A team that Omiya need to attack, score goals against and beat. Admittedly, that's not a plan that has worked well so far this season, but where does that sort of negative thinking get you? Relegated, that's where. Go Naoki Ishihara! Go Yoshihito Fujita! Go Ardija!

Wouldn't be surprised if he (Chang Woe-Ryong) plays for a draw. He does seem to be modelling himself on Mick McCarthy.

Excellent call, fatpapa. It's a draw that leaves us still in sixteenth; well, if Shonan lose on Sunday, that is.
