Squad Player #3 Loaned Out

Following in the footsteps of Seo Yong Duk and Kohei Tokita, Ryohei Arai on Friday became the third young Squirrel to leave the club on loan. The nineteen-year-old has signed for J2 side FC Gifu until the end of the season. Arai played several times last year in the defensive midfield role under previous coach Jang Wae Ryong, meaning that he is one of a mere handful of players to have played for Omiya in the league having been developed through the Ardija youth system. But he hasn't come close to first team action this year and will hope via the loan deal to develop competitive experience in the second tier.
