Two More For Young Star Shimizu

New Ardija signing Shintaro Shimizu is emerging as one of the stars of the current All-Japan High School Football Tournament, of which the Round of 16 was staged on Monday. Taking his tally to four in only three matches in the competition so far, Shimizu scored both goals for Saitama's representatives Seibudai HS, who beat 2-0 Sakuyo HS from Okayama 2-0 in a match staged at Omiya's own NACK5 Stadium.

The first goal was a neat finish following some good control and the second a header after Shimizu had out-muscled a defender, although perhaps the most impressive single piece of skill from the young Squirrel came when he hit the bar with the score still at 1-0. Seibudai's next match is a quarter final tie against Rissho University Shonan HS from Shimane on Wednesday.
