A couple of stories from the Yomiuri today, who are reporting here that Kawasaki Frontale are set to make an offer to Squirrels transfer target Junichi Inamoto, at present in France with Rennes but evidently eager for regular first-team football ahead of the World Cup finals. Meanwhile this story links the Squirrels, alongside Albirex Niigata and Montedio Yamagata, with 24-year-old Kashima Antlers attacking midfielder Chikashi Masuda, who after making sixteen substitute appearances but only one start for the J1 champions in their 2009 campaign is evidently prepared to sacrifice the prospect of the ACL for more first-team opportunities of his own. This Sponichi story has Omiya making an approach for Masato Fujita, 23, a left-sided defender at Tokyo Verdy and also rumoured to be the subject of an offer by... Yokohama FC.
